Our main reason for breeding chinchillas is that we are interested in the genetics of the colour mutations and would like to see what combinations of several mutations look like. Of course, we also like to see the babies grow up and enjoy making them as tame as possible.
Our breeding animals have been chosen from quality stock, with respect to fur quality/colour, animal shape/size, as well as temperament. We keep our animals in large cages. We interact with our chinchillas daily, so all our chinchillas are tame.
Below you see a description of the groups we currently have. The breeding groups have been setup to give a large variety in the colours of the offspring without getting standards.
